Protein Purification Strategies
So far the concepts have covered the individual chromatographic methods. This module covers the aspects of composing a complete protein purification strategy, usually consisting of multiple chromatographic steps depending on the needs.
Here we will focus on a generic strategy for protein purification known as the CIPP strategy. CIPP is an abbreviation for Capture, Intermediate Purification and Polishing.
The CIPP strategy is described in the
Handbook Strategies for Protein Purification.
Please read and understand in details chapter 4 and 5. Concepts like the Performance Parameters are essential when working with and discussing protein purification strategies.
