The Center for Energy Resources Engineering is a cross departmental center on energy production at DTU.
The research of the CERE Chemistry working group (headed by Wei Yan) is focused on high pressure phase behavior and other critical issues related to subsurface fluid flow, hydrocarbon processing, and carbon dioxide sequestration (CCS). Especially, the fundamental understanding of the involved physical and chemical processes and their mathematical description are the focus of research.
The research activities at CERE Chemistry mainly involve experimental measurements and modeling of phase equilibria and thermophysical properties at high pressure and temperature. Additionally, the development of efficient phase equilibrium calculation algorithms for compositional simulations are a main focus of the groups research.
