Activities in Chemistry at the Interface to Biology group (ChIBi) focus primarily on the areas related to chemistry at the interface to biology, and the research results have been applicable in pharmaceutical and biomedical field and in nano-science and nano-biotechnology, where the traditional boundaries between physics, chemistry and biology tend to disappear.
Studying such complex problems requires a multidisciplinary approach combining experimental research and in-silico modeling.
Ongoing research projects focus on protein structure-function relationships of cytosolic and transmembrane proteins as well as drug formulation and delivery systems.
