We are grateful to the Novo Nordisk Foundation for supporting the application SHARPSYN - Sharpening synthetic chemical tools by targeting Nature’s most complex glycan through the NERD program. The grant will allow us to supercharge our activities in synthetic method development, oligosaccharide synthesis, and plant cell wall biology. Look out for positions announced over the coming months and years.

Welcome to George Lasisi. He joins the group for his PhD with in the GlyCanDrug doctoral network. He will work on the identification of inhibitors of glycosyl transferases.
Mads will present our vaccine technology for infectious disease at the DTU Microbes Initiative Conference 2024.

Mads will be in Berlin for the kickoff of the IMPULSE project. We look forward to the collaboration with EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC and the Brenk group at the University of Bergen on new technologies.
We are grateful to the European Commission for the invitation to initiate grant agreement negotiations for the TargetRNA project. We look forward to collaborating with the University of Bergen, Goethe University Frankfurt and the other partners.

Welcome to Dileep Paladugu. He joins the group for his PhD in oligosaccharide synthesis in the GlycoNoVi doctoral network in collaboration with Glycom/DSM.

We are recruiting a PhD student in chemical biology of glycosyl transferases. The project will focus on the identification of small molecule inhibitors of sialyl and fucosyltransferases and include training in chemical synthesis of reagents, assay development, miniaturization and automation for high-throughput screening (HTS).
